ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY

The St. Vincent De Paul Society, a worldwide Catholic voluntary community, was founded in Paris in 1833 by a group of Catholic lay people who joined together to serve the poor. Their vocation, which remains ours today, was to follow Christ through service to people in need and in doing so, to bear witness to his compassionate and liberating love. Here at St. Paul's we continue the work of the Society through the generosity and dedication of our parishioners. Contributions of time and talent, food items, and financial support all help to make a real difference in the day to day lives of those in need among us, sometimes a neighbor on your block or the person who sits next to you at Sunday Mass each week. Single mothers, unemployed white collar workers, the elderly, and the working poor - they are you and me.
